Russian national held for illegal possession of drugs, cannabis plantation busted in Goa

Panaji, Oct 14 (UNI) A Russian national was arrested for allegedly possessing narcotics substance worth Rs 1,31,000 while cannabis plants worth Rs 1,75,000 was seized in Goa on Wednesday.
According to police, information was received regarding a drug peddler at Sawantwada, Mandrem, Pernem - Goa. Accordingly a raiding team was formed under the supervision of Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi and based on the information the accused person was found staying at Sawantwado, Mandrem, Pernem, and a search was conducted during which narcotics substance namely Charas and ganja was found in his possession. The Charas was valued around Rs 25,000 in the market and ganja valued around 1,06,000.
An offence under section 20(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act was registered and accused person identified as Oleg Nazarov (37), Russian national, was placed under arrest.
