Maha: Experts call for immediate conservation of Goddess Shree Mahalaxmi idol

Kolhapur, April 5 (UNI) The two-member expert committee, formed to inspect the damaged idol of 'Karveernivasini' Goddess Shree Mahalaxmi, known as "Ambabai", on Friday concluded in its report that there was a need for immediate conservation of the idol.
The committee, comprising retired archaeology officer R. S. Trembake and Vilas Mangiraj, was formed by the civil court Following a demand for inspection of the idol which was severely damaged in the neck area.
The panel inspected the idol and submitted the report before the court concluding that the idol needed immediate conservation.
