Maha CM holds 1st meeting with secretaries

Mumbai, Jul 26 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Tuesday directed the secretaries of all departments to do the follow-up and expedite the work of schemes sponsored by the Centre as well as the state.
Speaking at the first meeting of secretaries of all departments in the secretariate here, he said that speedy and quality work should be done while fulfilling the expectations of the people of the state.
"Maharashtra has a good image in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has assured that he is standing by the state government. Also, other Union ministers are eager to cooperate with the state. At such times, we should also come up with innovative plans," he noted.
Such proposals should be submitted immediately after seeing how to get maximum funds from the Centre, he said.
Shinde further said that keep positive attitude while solving people's problems and added that people expect administration to be sensitive and honest.
He hoped that the secretary would meet the people who come for work at the secretariate from all over the state.
