Lockdown in Thane Dist extended till July19

Thane, Jul 12 (UNI) Collector Rajesh Narvekar has today extended the total lockdown in the district (other than the corporation limits) up to July 19, vide a fresh order.
In his latest order issued late on Saturday, he said that the lockdown was imposed in the district till July 11 but with the rising number of corona positive cases in the district, it was necessary to extend the lockdown, he said.
Similarly, Navi Mumbai Municipal commissioner A B Misal has also extended the total lockdown in Navi Mumbai civic limits up to July 19.
The lockdown in Navi Mumbai was in force till July 13, which has been extended vide this fresh order.
In Ulhasnagar township also, Municipal commissioner Raja Dayanidi vide a fresh order extended the total lockdown till July 22.
The lockdown in the Ulhas township was in force till July 12.
Other civic bodies including Thane, Kalyan and Mira-Bhayander have extended their total lockdown on Friday for additional periods.
While, in Bhiwandi, the ongoing lockdown is in force till Sunday and is also likely to be extended, informed a senior officer from the corporation.
