One dies, another seriously injured in lift collapse

Kolhapur, Mar 29 (UNI) A man was killed, and another one was seriously injured, after the cable of an elevator snapped and came crashing down in Sant Gora Kumbhar Colony area of the city on Friday.
Two men were bringing down an idol of Lord Ganesha from fourth floor of a building from an elevator this afternoon, when suddenly its cable snapped and the elevator came hurtling down, police said.
In this incident, both were seriously injured and became unconscious. They were admitted to Chhatrapati Pramila Raje Hospital, where one of them succumbed during medical treatment.
