Mah: 5 killed, several injured as bus fells into gorge in Nandurbar

Nandurbar, Oct 21 (UNI) At least five bus passengers were killed while 34 others sustained injuries when the vehicle fell into a gorge here on Wednesday.
The fatal mishap, reported from the Kondaibari ghat, occurred in the wee hours when the private bus was heading from Jalgaon district towards Surat in Gujarat.
As per preliminary information, the driver lost control over the vehicle upon reaching the ghat section, after which the bus fell into the nearly 40-feet deep gorge, stated police.
On getting the accident's information, the police and local rescue teams rushed to the spot and rescued the survivors. The injured have been taken to the hospital while the identification process of the deceased is underway, it added.
