12 candidates file nominations on second day

Shimla, Oct 17 (UNI) As many as 12 candidates in different parts of the State filed nominations on second day of filing of nominations to Vidhan Sabha Election-2017. Ram Lal Thakur and Ramesh Thakur filed their nominations for Naina Devi Assembly constituency and Basant Ram from Bilaspur Constituency. From District Mandi, Mahender Singh Thakur filed his nomination from Dharampur. In District Una, Subhash Sharma filed his nomination at Gagret. In District Shimla, from Chopal Hari Singh Panwar and Madan Mohan from Kusumpti filed their nominations. In District Kangra, Manohar Lal from Dehra, Vikram Thakur and Vinod Kumar from Jaswan Pragpur, in District Sirmour from Nahan Vishwa Nath filed their nominations. In District Hamirpur Vijay Kumar filed his nomination from Nadaun. No candidate filed nomination from District Chamba, Kullu, Solan, Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti on Tuesday. UNI ML JS JW SHK 2148

Patna, Apr 26 (UNI) Scorching heat appears to have affected polling percentage during the second phase of Lok Sabha elections in five seats in Bihar, as only 58.58 percent of the electorate exercised their franchise compared to 62.92 percent in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, which is 4.34 percent less this year.
