Three skating rinks to be set up in Himachal Pradesh: Rakesh Pathania

Hamirpur/Shimla (HP), Sep 21(UNI)HP Youth welfare and sports Minister, Rakesh Pathania has said that the state government had decided to construct all-weather ice skating rinks in three cities of Himachal, Shimla, Manali and Dharamsala. Projects worth about two crores have also been approved by the central government, he said last evening.
He said that there was no dearth of sports talent in Himachal and the state government was making continuous efforts to improve them and not bring them forward.
While participating in a virtual meeting with Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur from Malakwal (Nurpur) on Monday, he said that construction work of all weather ice skating rinks at Dharamsala, Manali and Shimla was taken on war footing to increase the participation of sportspersons of the state in Winter Olympics.
