3rd Test, Day 4: Pakistan 41/0 at lunch, trail England by 269 runs

Southampton, Aug 24 (UNI) Openers Shan Masood and Abid Ali made a decent start and helped Pakistan reach 41/0 at lunch in their second innings, trailing England by 269 runs on Day 4 of the third and final Test at the Ageas Bowl on Monday.
Pakistan openers Masood and Ali managed to negotiate the curtailed first session without losing their wickets. Umpires decided to call for lunch after bad light interrupted play at Southampton.
Earlier on Day 3, James Anderson picked five wickets to ensure the visitors were bowled out for 273 in their first innings.
Pakistan skipper Azhar Ali (141 not out) and Mohammad Rizwan (53) stitched together a 138-run partnership for the sixth wicket but Anderson helped to keep England firmly in the driver’s seat in Southampton.
England enforced the follow-on against Pakistan considering rain is predicted on the final day.
England, who hold a 1-0 lead, are edging towards their first test series win over Pakistan since 2010.The hosts won the opening match in Manchester by three wickets, and the rain-hit second game ended in a draw.
