Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 18 (UNI) Twenty-seven deaths were reported so far due to the heavy rains and subsequent landslides triggered by the torrential downpour in Kerala.
According to the latest figures, 14 deaths were reported in Kottayam district, 10 in Idukki district, and one each in Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur and Kozhikode districts, an official press release said here on Monday.
Meanwhile, the bodies of 13 people who were killed in a landslide at Plaupally in Koottikkal village (Kanjirapally Taluk, Kottayam District) were recovered today.
