Five rescued from Nagaral reservoir downstream

Kalaburagi, Jul 16 (UNI) Fire persons and police on Thursday rescued five people who were stranded in the Nagaral reservoir downstream due to a sudden rise in the water level due to large amount of water released from the reservoir along with heavy rain in the catchment area in the region from the last two days.

According to the police, these five people who were stranded in the Hanuman temple on the banks of the river were rescued by a team of Fire and Emergency Services officials with the help of local fishermen after an operation that lasted four hours.
