Hyderabad, Aug 16 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao participated in the mass recital of the National Anthem held at the statue of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru near Abids GPO Circle here on Tuesday.
The reciting of National Anthem was part of the two-week Swatantra Bharat Vajrotsavam programmes being conducted by the state government.
The mass recital was organised at 11.30 am across the state where the national anthem was sung by the people.
Vehicular traffic came to a halt due to mass singing of national anthem for 10 minutes.
At the traffic junctions in the city, people were seen standing in full respect for the anthem which was played in all the public address systems.
