Hyderabad, Nov 6 (UNI) G Kishan Reddy, BJP State President and Union Minister, P Muralidhar Rao, BJP Madhya Pradesh Incharge and Chairman of the BJP Chargesheet Committee, along with BJP national leader Prakash Javadekar, released a 154-point charge sheet against the BRS government during a program held at a private hotel in the city on Monday.
Addressing the media on this occasion, Prakash Javadekar accused the BRS government of corruption and claimed that there is no other government in the country like BRS.
He alleged that the state government had sold projects to contractors and highlighted numerous problems in the state.
Javadekar also asserted that due to the policies of the Telangana government, issues related to drug and alcohol-related problems had risen, along with the prevalence of terrorism.
He claimed that Islamic terrorism had its roots in Telangana and that Rohingyas from Bangladesh and Burma were growing under the influence of Majlis, operating as sleeper cells with connections to PFI. He mentioned NIA arrests in the state regarding these matters.
Kishan Reddy expressed his concerns, stating, "The state government is working under the influence of MIM, and the police are also operating under the state government's pressure. In the past, the police force was in better condition in the state, but now the police system has been politicized, and there are threats of transfers."
The charge sheet detailed the suffering of the people in the state of Telangana, which was formed after prolonged agitations. Since BRS leader Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao became the first Chief Minister of Telangana in 2014, corruption has become rampant. Cabinet colleagues, legislators, and BRS leaders, including the Chief Minister, are all allegedly involved in various forms of corruption. Sand mafia, granite mafia, land mafia, drug mafia, liquor mafia, and contract mafia all have connections with BRS leaders and are involved in corrupt practices.
The charge sheet further alleges corruption in the Mission Bhagiratha program, which tapped clean drinking water to every household undertaken ambitiously by the BRS government. Existing water tanks were reportedly repainted and presented as new, with government funds allegedly misappropriated. Similarly, the Mission Kakatiya project, which received an allocation of Rs. 30,000 crores, has been criticized for funds being diverted to BRS leaders.
The Kaleshwaram project, aimed at providing water to crores of acres in Telangana, is also alleged to be marred by corruption, with project redesign, cost escalation, and the awarding of contracts to associates of the Chief Minister's family. It is claimed that this corruption has led to the deterioration of the project, posing a risk to public safety.
The charge sheet accuses BRS leaders of accepting bribes and commissions in various government programs, including Kalyanalakshmi, double-bedroom houses, Dalit Bandhu, and industrial incentives. In the Dalit Bandhu program, it is alleged that BRS MLAs receive a 30 percent commission, with media reports supporting this claim.
Investigative agencies are said to have reported the Chief Minister's daughter's involvement in a liquor scam in the Delhi government.
The Dharani portal, established for land records maintenance in Telangana, has also allegedly become a source of income for BRS leaders, who are accused of encroaching on various types of lands. The charge sheet further alleges that BRS leaders physically attack those who question corruption, harassing them with false police cases.
KCR himself reportedly mentioned a helpline for reporting corruption during a public address, but the charge sheet claims that the helpline number does not exist, alleging fraud on the people of Telangana.
