Ministry of Minority Affairs initiates improved facilities for Haj pilgrims in 2024

Hyderabad, Apr 1 (UNI) Shaik Liyakhat Hussain, Executive Officer of the Telangana State Haj Committee (TSHC), announced that the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, has taken steps to enhance facilities for Haj pilgrims during the 2024 pilgrimage.
The selection ratio of Khadimul Hujjaj (Haj Volunteers) has been revised from 1:300 to 1:200 to ensure better welfare services for pilgrims in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In line with this initiative, the Telangana State Haj Committee is preparing to select Khadimul-Hujjaj for Haj 2024. A total of 8 Khadimul Hujjaj will be chosen through a draw of lots (Qurrah) in the presence of Janab Tafseer Iqbal, IPS, Special Secretary to the Government, Minorities Welfare Department, on April 3 at 1500 hours in the office of the Telangana State Haj Committee.

Kakinada:BJP seek immediate release of Rs 10K to fishermen for sustenance

Kakinada, May 30(UNI) A delegation of the district unit of the BJP headed by party fishermen cell district convenor Sangani Satyam and party district General Secretary Kokkiligadda Gangaraju on Thursday called on the district fisheries officer and requested him to immediately release Rs.10,000 each to the fishermen towards sustenance during the 45 days Ban on fishing period. They said the sustenance amount during the fishing ban is not part of any welfare scheme but only compensation.
