LS polls: Rahul announces 'Pehli Naukri Pakki' scheme in Mandya

LS polls: Rahul announces 'Pehli Naukri Pakki' scheme in Mandya

Mandya (Karnataka), April 17 (UNI) Congress MP Rahul Gandhi addressed a public meeting in Mandya on Wednesday, unveiling the Congress party's new initiative aimed at tackling youth unemployment. During his speech, he announced the launch of a new scheme named 'Pehali Naukari Pakki', which translates to 'First Job Guaranteed'.
"I am here to inform you that the Congress party is committed to undertaking historic work for you. Through our 'Pehali Naukari Pakki' scheme, we will provide the unemployed diploma holders and college graduates with the right to their first job," he said.
Unveiling the new employment scheme ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's approach to loan waivers. He highlighted that PM Modi has waived off loans amounting to Rs 16 lakh crores for the 25 richest people in India.
This staggering amount is equivalent to the funds allocated for 24 years of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), he said.
The disparity in loan waivers has sparked concerns among farmers, who question why they are not receiving similar benefits. Rahul Gandhi echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the need for fair treatment and support for the farming community.
