Hyderabad, Nov 20 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao on Friday requested President Ram Nath Kovind to release a commemorative stamp in former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao's memory during his visit to Hyderabad in December for Southern Sojourn.
In a letter to Mr Kovind, a copy of which was marked to Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad, Mr Rao said the government of India is planning to bring out a commemorative stamp in Rao’s memory and hence, I request you in this regard to give your kind consent to release the stamp here in next month which will be a fitting tribute to late P V Narasimha Rao.
We are celebrating the birth centenary of P V Narasimha Rao, who was born on June 28, 1921 at Vangara village in Karimnagar district of Telangana, he said.
