BJP to urge LG to recommend to Centre for registering cases against Cong govt in UT

Puducherry, Oct 7(UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Puducherry Unit will urge Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi to recommend to the Centre for registering cases against the Congress government for its ‘anti-national activities” in the Union Territory.
BJP state General secretary Embalom R Selvam in a statement here on Wednesday said that the party volunteers will take out a padayatra to the Raj Niwas led by State President V Saminathan MLA and submit a memorandum to the Lt.Governor in this regard.
He said three days ago, when the Congress party took out a candle light procession, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, who addressed the agitators said, the Central government is trying to merge Puducherry with Tamil Nadu. This is a violation of the Oath of Office and secrecy taken by him, Mr Selvam said.
