Modi govt's decade of dev: India transforms with economic empowerment & social progress

Hyderabad, Apr 1 (UNI) Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy lauded India's remarkable advancement over the past decade, emphasizing a shift from election-driven freebies to sustainable welfare programs aimed at long-term economic and social benefits.

Addressing the media at the party's state headquarters on Monday, Reddy highlighted the transformative policies spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which have uplifted millions from poverty and spurred comprehensive development across various sectors.

Reddy underscored India's departure from dependency on foreign aid to emerging as a self-reliant global contributor, citing flagship initiatives such as PM Awas Yojana, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, and Saubhagya Yojana as instrumental in enhancing living standards and expanding access to essential services.

He emphasized the government's commitment to inclusive growth, evident in the direct transfer of subsidies, which has curbed leakages and ensured that benefits reach the intended beneficiaries without discrimination.

The union minister highlighted key achievements, including the electrification of rural areas, expansion of healthcare coverage through Ayushman Bharat, and the proliferation of digital transactions, driving transparency and efficiency in governance.

Reddy also commended the Modi government's efforts to revitalize traditional industries, empower women through financial inclusion and skill development, and preserve India's rich cultural heritage.

Furthermore, Reddy applauded initiatives aimed at bolstering agricultural productivity, promoting agri-startups, and enhancing farmers' income, reflecting the government's holistic approach to rural development. He emphasized the pivotal role of youth in shaping India's future and highlighted the government's initiatives to nurture entrepreneurship, innovation, and skill development among the younger generation.

The union minister reaffirmed the government's commitment to building a robust economy, fostering middle-class prosperity, and advancing India's position as a global economic powerhouse.
