Karnataka Cabinet decides to stay sale of 3577 acres of land to JSW Steels Ltd

Bengaluru, May 27 (UNI) Karnataka cabinet on Thursday decided to put on hold its earlier decision to sell 3,667 acres of land to JSW steel limited at Toranagal in Sandur taluk of Ballari district due to cases pending in the High Court and Supreme Court.
Briefing mediapersons after the Cabinet meeting, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Basavaraj Bommai said the Cabinet has decided not to implement its earlier decision following a petition filed in the High Court and the case pending in the Supreme Court.
“The Cabinet has not confirmed its previous decision. The earlier decision is put on hold. It will not be carried out”, the Minister said.
