PM Modi to launch campaign blitz ahead of Karna LS polls phase 2

Bengaluru, April 27 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up for a vigorous campaign push in Karnataka as the state prepares for the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections on May 7. Scheduled to address a series of rallies over the weekend, Modi aims to cover 11 of the remaining 14 LS constituencies.
On Sunday, he is slated to deliver speeches at four rallies in Belagavi, Sirsi in Uttara Kannada, Davanagere, and Ballari, where he will also spend the night in Hosapete after attending an evening rally.
Of particular significance is Modi's overnight stay in Belagavi, marking a historic occasion as the first Prime Minister since Independence to lodge in the city. The PM is set to be accommodated at the ITC Welcome Hotel near Kakati, for which security preparations have been stringent, with the Special Protection Group (SPG) busy with sanitisation measures.
To ensure the Prime Minister's safety, Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil has implemented a ban on drones from 6 am on Saturday until 6 pm on Sunday, with the entire taluk designated as a red zone.
In anticipation of a massive turnout, elaborate arrangements have been made, including the erection of a huge pandal at Malini City for the rally in Belagavi. Modi is also scheduled to meet local leaders, further solidifying his grassroots connections.
The itinerary extends to Davanagere, where he is expected to arrive by helicopter to address a rally at the high school grounds. With a pandal spanning 15 acres and an anticipated attendance of over one lakh people, the event underscores the significant public interest in the upcoming elections. UNI BDN SSP
