COVID-19 : Summon senior health officials before estimate committee of Pondy assembly : Lakshminarayanan

Puducherry, Sep 19 (UNI) Expressing concern over the death of 448 Coronavirus patients and infected to more than 22,000 persons in the Union Territory, Mr K Lakshminarayanan, Parliamentary Secretary to the Chief Minister on Saturday urged the estimate committee of the Puducherry Legislative assembly to summon senior health officials before it.
In a letter to the Chairperson of the Estimate Committee, Mr Lakshminarayanan said Health Secretary, Director and other concerned officials be summoned before the committee to explain the reason for the Coronavirus deaths and infection to the patients.
The Committee should hear from them the method of treatment given to the dead, what medicines were given and the case sheet of all the 448 patients be placed before the Estimate Committee so that it could be analyzed by the medical team to find out the cause of the deaths.
