Karnataka: KLE hospital neurosurgeons perform rare brain tumour surgery on 16-yr-old

Belagavi, Nov 7 (UNI) North Karnataka famous KLE Hospital has successfully performed a rare surgery for brain tumour on a 16-year-old student here on Saturday.
According to KLE Hospital sources, The Neurosurgeons at KLES Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital, Belagavi have successfully excised the brain tumor in a High school going boy and have given him a new lease of life. A 10th class studying student from a remote village of Khanapur taluk presented with complaints of vomiting, headache, giddiness and episodes of seizures referred from Yellur Road KLES Centenary Charitable Hospital to Neuro Surgery Department of KLES Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital.
On detailed evaluation of the Patient & MRI scan of the brain it was found that there was a large right hemispheric mass lesion involving frontal, temporal and parietal region with significant mass effect (brain tumor).
