Hyderabad, Mar 12 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy inaugurated the "Mahalakshmi Swasakthi Mahila" Scheme (Free Interest Loans) at a program held at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad on Tuesday evening.
Addressing the audience, Reddy outlined the state government's goal of empowering one crore women as croropathies in the state.
He acknowledged the significant role played by women in bringing the Congress party to power in the state and praised Congress leader Sonia Gandhi for granting separate statehood to Telangana, even at the potential cost to the party.
