Central forces security at critical polling centres: Kakinada SP

Kakinada, Mar 28 (UNI) District Superintendent of Police S Sathish Kumar has said critical polling stations were already identified and central forces security would be arranged at all these stations to ensure peaceful polling.
He told representatives of various recognised political parties at a meeting convened by the Collector at the Collectorate here on Thursday that special surveillance was maintained by deploying three special parties in each of the seven assembly segments.
`The security was strengthened at all the check posts, and intensive searches were being carried out round the clock for checking the flow of liquor and also for other prohibited things. The details of cases registered against the political leaders were being submitted regularly in a report to the election commission, ‘he added, and appealed to them to strictly abide by the model code of conduct.
