Rs 100 Cr worth cash, liquor seized since Mar 16 in AP: CEO

Ongole, Apr 11 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena has said that Rs 100 crore worth cash, liquor and other valuables have been seized across the state since March 16 when the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) came into force.
The CEO visited Prakasam district on Thursday. He inspected the checkposts, located at Gundlapalli village in Maddipadu mandal, on Chennai-Kolkata highway number 16.
Later Meena inspected the checkpost located at Old Singarayakonda village in Singarayakonda mandal. He inquired with the police officials, who are on duty at the checkposts, about the process of checking vehicles and videographing the same.
