Manipal, Karnataka, Oct 30 (UNI) T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) here and University of Southampton (SOTON), UK, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop academic and research collaborations.
TAPMI Director and Professor Madhu Veeraraghavan said, “International collaborations form a part of my vision to facilitate the development of high-quality management education in India. In this process, TAPMI’s quest for high-quality research creates more mind space among emerging management educators. TAPMI also contributes to the management education community”.
Professor Laura Costanzo, Head of Southampton Business School at the University of Southampton, applauded the joint efforts put in by both schools, at the time of COVID, according to a release here on Friday.
TAPMI and SOTON are both crowned by double international accreditations—AACSB and AMBA, and in pursuit of EQUIS. In many ways, both institutions share common goals and interests.
As TAPMI and SOTON are both signatories of UNPRME, Professor Raghunath Rudran said, “I see this collaboration to be totally synergistic with our PRIME efforts and in alignment with Sustainable Development Goals. We have a shared view that “Sustainable Development forms the metal bridge between the UK and India to support and deepen our collaboration activities”. Faculty from both schools also joined the signing ceremony that was held digitally.
