Deve Gowda complains, EC asks Karnataka CEO to take prompt action

Bengaluru, Mar 26 (UNI) JDS President HD Deve Gowda on Tuesday accused the state election machinery of failing to promptly address alleged corrupt activities in the Bengaluru (Rural) Lok Sabha seat.
The Election Commission responded by directing the chief electoral officer of Karnataka to take immediate and appropriate action on Gowda's complaint against Congress MP DK Suresh.
The Election Commission's letter, issued on March 21 based on Gowda's complaint, urged the state CEO to act swiftly in accordance with the model code of conduct and relevant laws.
