Madurai, Jun 29 (UNI) A 65-year-old patient, tested positive for Coronavirus, died on Monday after he had committed suicide by jumping off from the first floor of a building in which the quarantine facility was set up, at Thirupparankundram late on Sunday evening.
Police said the deceased P.Dhanushkodi, a resident of Palanganatham locality in the city, was housed in the quarantine centre at Thiagarajar College of Engineering on Saturday with coronavirus symptoms, after he was ostracised by his family members for illness.
