Fake currency gang busted in Hyderabad, 6 held with Rs 36.35L fake currency

Hyderabad, Apr 2 (UNI) City police apprehended a six-member gang on Tuesday involved in circulating counterfeit currency and confiscated Rs 36,35,500 in fake Rs 500 notes.
Alongside the counterfeit currency, police also seized a net cash amount of Rs 28,000, eight cell phones, and a two-wheeler from their possession.
Acting on credible intelligence, the Commissioners Taskforce, East Zone Team, in collaboration with Begum Bazar Police, apprehended the gang at Feelkhana, Begum Bazar, while they were engaged in distributing fake currency notes in the open market, as per a police statement.
