Woman arrested for murdering her new born baby

Malappuram, Feb 29 (UNI) Tanur police on Thursday arrested a woman for allegedly murdering her three-day-old baby boy and burying him near the well of the house compound at Ottumpuram near Tanur in the district.
A police team, led by Tanur DySP V V Benny, exhumed the body of a new born boy with presence of Tirur tahasildar S Sheeja and sent it to Kozhikode Medical College for post-mortem to determine exact cause of the death.
Police said they arrested Jumailath (29) of Ottumpuram near Tanur in this connection and sent her to judicial custody for 14 days.
