Kochi, Oct 27 (UNI) K T Ramees, an accused in the gold smuggling case, confessed to Customs officials that he had smuggled gold to an expatriate businessman called 'Dawood Al Arab' for 12 times through the diplomatic baggage.
Ramees smuggled gold to him for 12 times and the probe agency is in the lookout for Dawood, the master brain in the smuggling of gold, sources said on Tuesday.
In order to invoke the Conservation of Foreign Exchange and Prevention of Smuggling Activities Act against Ramees, the details of his statements have been submitted to COFEPOSA Board.
