Two arrested, 17 buffaloes rescued from being taken to slaughter house

Udupi, Jul 25(UNI) The Abbailu Police on Saturday rescued 17 buffaloes being illegally transported at the Hosangadi checkpost here.
Police said two people who were arrested have been identified as Mehoob, a resident of Davanagere and Allah Bakshi resident of Hangal.
When the police intercepted a truck coming from Shivamogga during checking to their surprise saw buffaloes were being loaded in the truck in an inhuman way and on questioning the arrested have revealed that the animals were being transported to Mangaluru from Haveri.
