AP: 28 red sander logs seized, 2 arrested

Kadapa Mar 4 (UNI) The police seized 28 red sander logs while being transported in a luggage van at Guvvala Cheruvu village in Galividu mandal in Annamayya and arrested two persons.
DSP Chenchubabu told the media a police team under the directions of DSP Chenchu Babu, led by Railway Koduru sub-division RI Krupananda and RSI Raghavendra conducted a combing at Guvvala Cheruvu forest section. When the police team was checking vehicles on the Hindukura Bandlapalli-Thumukunta main road, they found a Tata Mega excel luggage van was carrying 28 red sander logs.
The police arrested two smugglers P Yegeswara Niadu and E Peddi Naidu. However, two smugglers managed to escape after noticing the police. Tirupati task force police station CI Srinivasulu registered a case, seized 28 red sander logs and a motorcycle.
