Kakinada, AP, Mar 22 (UNI) In the backdrop of the seizure of a container at Visakhapatnam port reportedly with 25,000 kgs drugs shipped from Brazil addressed to Sandhya Aqua Exports industries company in Moolapet in U. Kothapalli Mandal 25km from here, special teams from CBI reached here and conducted intensive searches in the company on Friday.
Seven members of CBI have made indiscreet inquiries with the staff and workers. They requisitioned the services of forensic experts from Visakhapatnam. They have collected samples of various products and ingredients and rushed back to Visakhapatnam. They did not involve the district police machinery in the search operation.
District Superintendent of Police S. Sathish Kumar told UNI that the CBI did not involve the local police except by giving information. There was no resistance to the industry from anywhere and the entire operation was peaceful. The CBI teams came, collected samples, and went back’ the SP said . The industries Directors Veerabhadrarao and Kotaiah Choudary are also not available for comment. The situation in the industry was quite peaceful.
