AP: Municipal workers demand payment of strike period wages

Kakinada, Apr 3 (UNI) AITUC affiliated AP Municipal workers union on Wednesday demanded the government to arrange payment of strike period wages as assured in the agreement, without further delay.
A delegation of the union headed by AITUC district general secretary Thokala Prasad has called on the Municipal health officer at the municipal corporation office here and presented a representation seeking settlement of the legitimate demands of the workers.
Their demands include enhancement of wages for the strike period, payment of Rs.1,000 bonus, granting of full day holiday instead of half day during festivals and sanctioning of casual leaves .
