BJP leader Bandi launches Rythu Deeksha in Karimnagar, demands relief for farmers

Karimnagar (Telangana), Apr 2 (UNI) BJP National General Secretary and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar commenced his Rythu Deeksha at the District Collectorate on Tuesday, demanding the waiver of Rs 2 lakh crop loans, compensation of Rs 25,000 per acre for crop loss due to drought, and a bonus of Rs 500 per quintal for crop yield.
Addressing the gathering, Bandi Sanjay criticized the Congress government for failing to compensate farmers affected by untimely rains and neglecting the issue of crop loss due to insufficient irrigation water. He demanded immediate compensation of Rs 25,000 per acre for affected farmers, the prompt opening of purchasing centres, and the announcement of a promised bonus of Rs 500 per quintal, as pledged by the Congress during the assembly elections.
Petition documents outlining these demands were submitted to officials in all mandals under the Karimnagar Parliament Constituency on Monday.

Two JNTUK students selected for prestigious Amazon education programme

Kakinada, May 1 (UNI) Two girl students of CSE first year of JNTUK College of Engineering – G Padmapriya and M. Kavitha - have been selected for the prestigious Amazon Future engineering programme in the National level competition.
