Congress-led UDF to organise Satyagraha on Aug 27 demanding resignation of CM

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 21 (UNI) Opposition leader in Kerala Assembly Ramesh Chennnithala on Friday said the Congress-led UDF will organise second leg of its online innovative Satyagraha - #SpeakUpKerala - in all local body wards in the State on August 27, demanding the resignation of Chief Minister and a CBI probe into alleged corruption in the Life Mission’s Wadakancherry Housing Scheme.
The party leaders will hold Satyagraha from their homes or offices adhering to Covid protocols, Chennithala said while addressing a press conference here.
"The UDF is not against the housing scheme, but it should be implemented with transparency. Many housing schemes have been implemented in the state for the poor, which include schemes during the tenure of former chief minister Oommen Chandy and the 'Laksham Veedu' scheme implemented by former minister MN Govindan Nair of the CPI, but bribery allegations were never raised in connection with those schemes."
