K'taka Congress continues its protest against hike in fuel, LPG prices

Chitradurga, Jun 12 (UNI) Hitting it out at the Centre for unprecedented increase of fuel prices, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) chief D K Shivakumar urged the Centre to increase Minimum Support Price for the farm produce on the lines of hike in fuel prices.
Staging a protest '100 not out' agitation at Hiriyur in Chidradruga district in protest against hike in fuel prices which crossed Rs 100 in the State. Stating that how the common man can lead the life when the fuel prices increase naturally the essential commodities and other prices will also go up, he questioned.
"The government has stooped down to pick-pocketing in the name of excise and taxes on petrol. So, we are launching this extensive protest campaign," he said, while pointing out that the BJP is determined to make petrol unaffordable for the common man.
