Telangana CM launches Indiramma Housing Scheme

Bhadradri-Kothagudem (Telangana), Mar 11 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A. Revath Reddy launched the Indiramma Housing Scheme on Monday, one of the six guarantees of the Congress, at the local market yard in Bhadrachalam.
Under the scheme, individuals owning land and capable of constructing a house will receive financial aid of Rs 5 lakh. Eligibility extends to all applications registered under the "Praja Palana" special drive.
The scheme will be implemented in a phased manner to benefit eligible homeless individuals across the state. Landless and homeless applicants will receive the same amount along with a housing plot. Various models and designs will be made available to aid house construction.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister stated that the scheme was launched after seeking the blessings of Seetha Ramachandra Swamy. The state government aims to uplift the poor and downtrodden with the Indiramma Housing Scheme, providing dignity through homeownership. Pattas for Indiramma Houses will be granted in the name of women, ensuring their happiness, and only eligible individuals will benefit from the scheme.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikaramarka mentioned, "The then BRS government cheated the people in the name of double-bed-room houses.
Keeping in mind the hardships faced by the people, the Congress Party announced six guarantees and is taking steps to implement them within 90 days. The government is fulfilling the dream of owning a house for the poor through the Indiramma Housing scheme, and pattas will be extended to houses constructed by the BRS government too," he added.
Revenue Minister Pongulati Srinivas Reddy criticised former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) for not granting the promised Rs 100 crore for the development of the Seetha Rama Chandra Swamy temple. The BRS government left Telangana with Rs 7 lakh crore of debt.
Ministers Komatireddy Venkatreddy, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Seethakka, and Konda Surekha were present at the programme, along with MLAs Koonanneni, Tellam Venkatarao, Koram Kanakaiah, Ragamai, and Jare Adinarayana.
Earlier, the Chief Minister and his wife, Geetha, offered prayers at the Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Temple. After darshan, Vedic pandits blessed him with Vedasirvadam.
