Police martyrs' families welfare utmost to govt: AP Min

Kakinada, Oct 21 (UNI) Minister for Agriculture and Cooperation Kurasala Kannababu on Wednesday said Police were doing yeomen services to the society and the government was wedded to their welfare, especially to the families of the police martyrs for their speedy rehabilitation.
Paying rich homage to the police personnel, who laid down their lives in tackling the extremists and naxalites problem, besides in dealing with various law and order situations, he said the Central para military forces were taking care of the internal security and in states, police were rendering commendable service in maintenance of law and order, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere.
He said Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy was bringing several reforms in police functioning and as a part of it announced a weekend holiday for the police.
