Elderly woman killed in wall collapse

Mayiladuthurai, Oct 01 (UNI) In a tragic incident, an elderly woman was killed after a portion of a wall of the house collapsed at Serugudi village near Sirkazhi in Mayiladuthurai district in the early hours of Thursday.
Police said the deceased G Lakshmi (80) was sleeping in the house, when the mud wall collapsed and fell on her.
On being alerted by neighbours, police rushed to the spot and extricated the body from the debris and sent it to the government hospital for post-mortem.
