While Sangh Parivar spreads divisive politics, Kerala fish-folk saves lives, says Brinda Karat

New Delhi, Aug 20 (UNI) Lashing out at the RSS and the BJP, the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) polit bureau member Brinda Karat on Monday said that while the Sang Parivar organsiations continued with its divisive politics, the working people of Kerala was involved in rescue and operations.
In a statement posted in CPI(M)’s official twitter page, Ms Karat said the when the smear campaign by the RSS and BJP were carried out, none of the leaders of BJP or RSS refuted or criticised it and added that “it shows their attitude to the humanity”.
Referring to a statement by RSS ideologue, S Gurumurthy, who was recently appointed to the board of the Reserve Bank as a part-time non-official director, who said that the Supreme Court judges to see that is there any connection between the case (on Women entry in Sabarimala) and the flood in Kerala, the CPI(M) leaders said that it was an example that the Sangh Parivar's divisive politics.
She further pointed out the campaign against donating to Chief Minister’s relief funds, and added that some of them have “brought in their communal politics, saying don’t donate to the Chief Minister’s relief fund, the money will go to the minorities’.
“This kind of campaign which is not refuted or criticised by single leader of the RSS or the BJP and it shows their attitude to the humanity”, she alleged.
She said as people of Kerala face unprecedented floods, they have coordinated well with state government and the different rescue teams sent by the Central government.
Ms Karat further said that, "compare this with thousands of fisher people, belonging to all religious communities, who have known to do the most inspiring rescue mission, regardless of their own problems, and their own difficulties saved lives of people; they are our heroes".
