Pradyuman murder: CBI to produce accused student before court

New Delhi, Nov 10 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will produce the 16 year-old student
of Ryan International School who is accused of murdering his schoolmate, Pradyuman Thakur before a
Gurugram court on Saturday at the end of his three-day remand.
"The 11th standard boy of Ryan International School Gurugram, held by the CBI for murder of class
two student will be produced before a Gurugram court at around 1500 hours on Saturday," sources
here said on Friday.
Sources said that CBI is going to bring more suspects on its radar depending on the clue produced
by the accused student, adding, no one was detained after the student's arrest by the Agency in
connection with the case.
They said that on the third-day of remand, the CBI has not taken the boy to any places for recontruction of the events.
Sources said that the Agency had conducted search at the residence of the accused student located in Sohna (Haryana), six days after it registered case on September 22 in the matter. The CBI also sought permission to retain the seized articles and documents for the purpose of investigation.
The Agency on Thursday had taken the boy to a knife shop following suspection that the weapon involved in the crime might have been procured from there.
The sixteen year old student of Ryan International School of Gurgaon was apprehended on Tuesday night after a thorough investigation, including CCTV footage and forensic evidence, for allegedly murdering Thakur on September 8.
Pradyuman was found lying in a pool of blood on the morning of September 8, with his throat slit in one of the school's toilets. The body bore cut marks at various places. A knife was recovered from the spot, which was later confirmed as the weapon used in the crime.
The case was handed over to the CBI after parents of the victim expressed dissatisfaction over the
probe being done by the Haryana police and civil society pressure also mounted on the government.
According to the CBI, the juvenile assaulted Pradyuman to create a situation in the campus, which
could lead to postponement of his upcoming examination and the impending parent teacher meet.
Earlier, Haryana police had arrested Ashok Kumar, a bus conductor, who was working with the school for the past eight months for the murder.
