New Delhi, Nov 10 (UNI) The Council of Ministers will hold a meeting in the national capital on Wednesday, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which will also be attended by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu.
According to sources, the meeting will discuss the upcoming Parliament session and the conduct of Ministers in the session, which is expected to be stormy as Opposition leaders have said they would raise issues like price rise and farmers' protests, among other issues, during the session.
Birla and Naidu have been invited to the meeting as special guests.
The Winter Session of Parliament is likely to start from November 29, and expected to go on till December 23.
The Monsoon Session of Parliament, which was adjourned sine die on August 11, two days before its scheduled end, was washed out amid the Opposition protests.
Both the Government and Opposition have been blaming each other for the washout of the session.
On the last day of the session, Rajya Sabha had witnessed protests by Opposition parties after the OBC Bill was passed and the Insurance Bill was taken up, and Marshals had to be called in the Upper House.
Opposition leaders have alleged that they were assaulted by marshals, while the government accused the former of assaulting the Parliament security staff.
