BJP's sitting MP from Muzaffarpur Ajay Kumar Nishad joins Cong

New Delhi, Apr 2 (UNI) BJP's sitting Member of Parliament from Muzaffarpur in Bihar, Ajay Kumar Nishad on Tuesday joined Congress at the party headquarters here in presence of senior leaders.

Nishad joined the party in presence of Pawan Khera Chairman, Media & Publicity Communication Department, Mohan Prakash Incharge Bihar and Akhilesh Prasad Singh Bihar PCC president.

Addressing a press conference here Nishad said, “I joined the party as I wanted to hit someone’s arrogance and get my lost self respect back. No election can be won through arrogance but only with the blessings of people”.

He said that, when he was denied ticked he asked the party leadership the reason for it despite winning the election by over a margin of four lakh votes. He was informed that the survey report was not in his favour.

Nishad said that even a person before being sent to the gallows is asked about his last wish, but here his ticket was denied and no reason was given.

Nishad expressed his gratitude to the top leadership of the Congress especially Rahul Gandhi for giving him the opportunity to join the party and he vowed to work for the party day and night.

Welcoming Nishad into the party Pawan Khera called him an important person in the politics of Bihar. He further said that a sitting MP was joining the party and this showed the mood of the people.
