PM Modi is never affected by pressure politics: Nadda

New Delhi, Sep 18 (UNI) BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda on Friday credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bringing changes in the political culture of the country, saying that he never comes under the influence of politics of pressure and does what is is in the interest of people.
Addressing at a small ceremony at the BJP headquarters here on the occasion of the special launch of the party's mouthpiece Kamal Sandesh on the occasion of Mr Modi's 70th birthday, he said, "We have seen many governments in politics."
'The work under Mr Modi's leadership, what we and the whole world sees, is not just implementation of any programme or policy, but a changed political culture," he said.
He asked did anyone think that about 18 thousand villages in independent India where 2.5 crore people lived without electricity, many people could not get food. 'There was no means to avoid serious illness but Schemes like Ujjwala Yojana, Saubhagya Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Jan-Dhan accounts were brought for those who had none,' he said.
Mr Nadda maintained that the specialty of Mr Modi's leadership is to be never be influenced by the politics of pressure. 'There is no harm in doing what is right for the people. All work has to be done for the benefit of the people,' he stated.
The BJP president said the Congress had said in its manifesto that they will bring out the farmers from the Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) and change the Essential Commodities Act, but the Modi government did it.
'Those opposing it are speaking the language of middlemen and not of farmers,' he pointed out.
He said that the first farmers were in the era of slavery. Mr Modi said that farmers should be liberated.
'Whether the farmer sells his crop from the grain market or sells it in any corner of the country, he has the freedom, this provision is there in these bills. Along with this, APMC and MSP will also exist'.
But the people with middlemen are trying to mislead the farmers, he alleged.
The BJP President said that Seva Week is being celebrated to commemorate the birthday of Mr Modi.
'Many types of service programs are being run during this week. Workers are rendering services keeping in mind the health protocol.'
