BJP calls Congress' manifesto "bundle of lies"

BJP calls Congress' manifesto

New Delhi, Apr 5 (UNI) BJP described the Congress manifesto for the Lok Sabha polls as a "bundle of lies" and alleged that it has been prepared to create confusion among voters".
Addressing a press conference here at party headquarters in New Delhi, party Spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi, said “They have called the manifesto Nyay Patra after doing injustice to all sections of the country for all these years".
The BJP spokesperson also alleged that the Congress party’s election manifesto for the ensuing Lok Sabha used photos of New York and Thailand in it.
"There is a picture of water management in the Congress manifesto. This picture is of the Buffalo River in New York state. Till now they have not been able to find out who was tweeting from their Social Media chairperson’s Twitter, but who sent them this picture? Under the Environment section, a picture from Rahul Gandhi’s favoured destination, Thailand has been put. Who is putting all this in their manifesto?" the BJP leader said.
BJP leader Amit Malviya also took a dig at Rahul Gandhi’s foreign trips and said “Looks like the Congress forgot that it is preparing a manifesto for India and not putting together a holiday itinerary for Rahul Gandhi!"
“What else explains using a picture of Thailand under the Environment section? It shouldn’t be a surprise if Rahul Gandhi dashes off to Thailand, for yet another holiday, soon after the election," Malviya wrote in an X post.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma raised questions on the Congress manifesto and asked whether a foreign agency was hired to draft the manifesto.
“Cong manifesto promises to remove an elected State Government, restore triple talaq, makes a U-turn on OPS, has no delivery date on any of its promises, lacks a plan to harness benefits of Industry 4.0 and worst of all passes pictures from Thailand & America as that of India," the Assam Chief Minister said on X.
On Friday Congress released its manifesto for the upcoming elections focussing on the five ‘pillars of justice’.
The manifesto was released by party Chief Mallikarjun Kharge and former party Presidents Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
