BJP conspired to arrest Kejriwal: AAP

BJP conspired to arrest Kejriwal: AAP

New Delhi, Apr 5 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh alleged on Friday that the Bharatiya Janata Party conspired to arrest Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by coercing Raghav Magunta - an accused in the Delhi excise policy case - to give false statements against the AAP chief.
Addressing a press conference, Singh claimed that Raghav Magunta gave a statement against Kejriwal under pressure.
“The court was shocked when Kejriwal's name was not mentioned in the first nine statements of Magunta Reddy and his son Raghav. Magunta Reddy gave three statements, and his son Raghav Magunta Reddy gave seven statements. Father and son together gave 10 statements. When Raghav was asked on September 16, he revealed that he met Kejriwal for the land of the Charitable Trust,” Singh said.
“Raghav Magunta is arrested again and kept in jail for 5 months. Then he changes his statement. From 10 February to 16 July, 7 statements are taken of Raghav Reddy; in 6 he says nothing about Kejriwal; in the 7th he speaks against him," Singh alleged.
Sharath Chandra Reddy, whom ED calls a scamster, finally gives Rs 55 crores to the BJP. Singh said, adding, “In the real liquor scam, the BJP took Rs 55 crores, which is in front of the country. Was Rs 55 crore taken in this scam without the knowledge of the BJP's top leadership? How many raids did the ED-CBI conduct on the houses of BJP leaders? What action did they take?”
ED hid the statements in which Sharath Reddy, Raghav Manguta, and MSR did not even take the name of Arvind Kejriwal, he claimed.
BJP took extortion money worth Rs 55 crore, Singh asserted, questioning, “Was it taken without the knowledge of Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and JP Nadda? Why did LG not write a letter after taking a bribe of Rs 55 crore?”
On being asked about Kejirwal’s photo placed between portraits of Bhagat Singh and BR Ambedkar, Singh said, “Don't people have photographs with great men? Don't people take selfies with the statues of Baba Saheb, Bhagat Singh ji, and Subhash Chandra Bose ji?”
“For us, Baba Saheb Ambedkar and Bhagat Singh Ji are role models; we are trying to follow in their footsteps,” he added. UNI PSP GNK SSP
