One must stay true to roots: Vishwas Tripathi

New Delhi, Aug 15 (UNI) Emphasising that the one must stay true to his roots, Chairman of BRICS-CCI Vishwas Tripathi on Saturday said if a person has love towards oneself, his family, then only it graduates into patriotism.
'If we are true to ourselves, our family, our city, district, that only will cultivate love towards our country. Love should start from the beginning then only it will come naturally as patriotism,' said Mr Tripathi during a webinar held on the occasion of the 74th Independence Day.
He said Patriotism is a feeling of love, devotion and attachment towards one's homeland, adding that love is an important word in this connotation.
He maintained that, 'There is only one religion, the religion of love. There is only one language, the language of the heart. There is only one caste, the caste of humanity. There is only one law, the law of Karma. There is only one God, He is omnipresent.'
Congratulating everyone on the occasion of Independence Day, Mr Tripathi, also the Chairman of United News of India Board of Directors, said the whole world is facing the Covid-19 pandemic and India is facing it well.
On India's economy being affected by the pandemic, he expressed confidence that the country will bounce back.
Mr Tripathi, who is also Member of the Governing Council of Delhi Flying Club, said: 'I am positive that India's economy will bounce back ...like a ball when thrown on the floor, is bound to bounce back....'
Mr Tripathi conveyed that the message of BRICS and friendly nations is 'Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam' (World is family).
He said Secret of happiness is freedom and the secret of freedom is courage.
'We all want freedom in our desired way...every freedom comes with a lot of responsibilities, for which we should have courage,' Mr Tripathi said, adding that everyone is striving for more space and stressed that inner strength for this comes from our roots and culture.
He pointed out that ,'We have to get ultimate freedom from all that is not good for our society, economy....'
About reviving country's economy affected by the pandemic, he said the way forward in economy is by empowering small businessmen.
'Ours is an agrarian economy, trying to move towards industry. MSME and agriculture -- if they do well, then major population will not be deprived of basic needs,' he maintained
People need liquid money in their hands, if it moves, then everything will be all right, he said.
Director-General of BRICS-CCI Dr B B L Madhukar dwelled on history at the time of Independence and partition.
He stressed on growing population of India and said if population goes on increasing then unemployment and poverty can never be eliminated from the country.
Dr Madhukar also stressed on planning for funds and contingency plans, and gave the example of a developed country like Japan which suffers from frequent earthquakes and Tsunamis.
BRICS-CCI Vice-Chairman Sameep Shastri emphasised on 'Five Es we must look into -- empowerment, education, entrepreneurship, expression and enlightenment.
'We can bring true independence and can help the thought process for the future of India.'
