Modi condoles loss of lives in Japan earthquakes
New Delhi, Apr 16 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi today condoled the loss of lives after two powerful earthquakes rocked Japan. "Distressed on the loss of lives & damage caused by the quake in Japan. My thoughts are with bereaved families & prayers with the injured,'' the Prime Minister said in a message. At least 34 people were killed and about 1,500 injured with thousands more evacuated in south-western Japan which was hit by two powerful earthquakes, including one measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale early today, within a span of two days.
